Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 cannot be installed when VS2017 RC is installed

Hello,

When I installed V2, I installed Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 according to the Install Guide. But later when I started installing V2R1, I noticed Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 was no longer listed in Add/Remove Programs on the server, but Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2017 was.

Found this thread saying 2015 is removed when 2017 is installed and 2015 can't be installed when 2017 is already installed.

https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/problem/14701/visual-c-redistributable-for-visua...

Turns out our data center admins install VS2017, thus removing 2015.

Wondering if there are any issue or problems running Mega V2R1 using Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2017 ?

Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark,

I would think it shouldn't be any issues. As long it is at least Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015. I can confirm and get back to you.

Thanks,

Philip
