Concerning the New HOPEX features, are there any additional features instead for Application Portfolio Management?
Beyond the UX improvements, HOPEX Aquila provides new functional features that will accelerate APM practices. The main ones will be:
AI-Driven APM that will help you build application & technology inventories more easily thanks to AI/ML technologies,
The new Smart analysis feature will help you make informed decisions regarding IT transformation & cloud migration.
Can Discovery use other tools already deployed in the data center? Getting new discovery tools deployed are often a challenge with security/work teams.
Yes, we are aware of these security issues. AI-Driven APM can be used without the discovery feature we provide. It can be used from any list of technologies (depending on the quality of your data), and thanks to AI/ML technologies, it will automatically detect business applications and then potential capabilities supported.
Can you estimate how much faster you can build the EA baseline with this AI tech?
Even if it's difficult to estimate this precisely, the first results of automatic technology discovery can be obtained quickly (within a few days), while the detection of applications based on deployed technologies and the connection with supported business capabilities are immediate. Everything then depends on the user's ability to validate (or not) these recommendations quickly.
Will the AI-Driven APM be able to discover all the business applications and fetch the details and their details, including Cloud site, Type, Geo Location, Technology used etc.. automatically?
Software technology and applications, once discovered, are normalized, classified, enriched with functional description automatically, then mapped against capabilities. No geographic / location information is included at this stage.
Are the inputs to the various AI suggestions or recommendations visible? Such as... how the recommendation of technology vs. application is determined?
The recommendations are based on various data from the scanned names of the files + reference data (belonging to Partners and MEGA).

What features are available regarding validation? Eg, workflows to have junior staff uploading and filling in data, and senior staff approving before publishing
HOPEX provides out-of-the-box workflow, for each solution BPA, GRC, EA... Workflow can be easily customized to match your needs and organizational structure.
Can the tab amendments (hiding or showing tabs) be done at a higher level, than just at a user level?
It is possible to configure it to be exclusively accessible to the HOPEX administrator.
Do we still have menu based search?
Yes, we have just demonstrated the new full-text search functionality, but rest assured that the advanced search option remains accessible as well.
Can you elaborate on the Profile change? Will five profiles cover the whole solution, or will there still be separate profiles within each solution, e.g. IT Architecture, Risk, BPA, etc?
We streamlined the list of existing profiles available for the ITPM/ITBM & IT Architecture solutions, making it simpler and more aligned with user expectations. The newly introduced Enterprise Architect profile will have comprehensive access to a wide range of ITBM, ITPM & IT Architecture solutions features, like managing applications, technologies, capability maps & architecture modeling… Solution Architect profile will specifically focus on IT Architecture features, such as architecture modeling.
Presenting a report with huge amounts of data can be a problem. Sometimes our clients use a very complex connectivity between one object and others. In HOPEX Aquila, how can it be handled?
In HOPEX Aquila, the existing reporting features, such as instant and dataset reports, remain accessible. The primary focus has been enhancing the ease of access and usage for template reports (the ‘Report Explorer’ feature). In forthcoming releases, we have plans to enhance further the process of creating complex reports from scratch, without requiring customization.

Is the new interface granted to all current users? or does it require a change of contract?
At no cost and without any contractual modifications, you can seamlessly migrate your existing HOPEX platform to HOPEX Aquila.
How would it go with the current HOPEX Version V5? Data has to be migrated to HOPEX Aquila. What about V6?
There will be no V6 release as such. HOPEX Aquila is simply the name assigned to the subsequent release following V5.
Will these enhancements result in pricing adjustments?
When you migrate your current HOPEX release to HOPEX Aquila, all the showcased improvements will be accessible without charges. However, please note that the AI-Driven APM feature may incur additional costs, depending on your choice to use the automatic technology discovery features offered through our partner Eracent.
When will upgrades happen to the existing instances? Will we be receiving updates about it
For existing customers upgrade module will be available on January 24th. Upgrade procedure and more detailed information will be published on MEGA Community.
Will we be informed about the server and environment requirements to prepare and adjust our previous server before the official release?

What tools to hierarchically organize a complex BPM Landscape? E.g., many processes require some rigid and hierarchical organization.
The Process landscapes can be defined using the Process Maps, which is a root entry points to organize the Process Categories (at the desired depth), which regroup the Processes which can be described using the BPMN notation. Users can create the process hierarchy either based on an industry-standard framework (e.g., APQC taxonomy, available for download on the HOPEX store) or manual entry via diagrams or properties. Excel imports can also be used to bootstrap the repository initialization based on existing specific data.
