MEGA Environment SysDb folder - SystemDb.log and SystemDb.transactions

We're backing up our Environment folder and looking to streamline the process.  There are a couple file folders that have thousands of .bak and .mgl files, all well over 8 months old.

<mega environment folder>\SysDb\SystemDb.log

<mega environment folder>\SysDb\SystemDb.transactions

Is it safe to archive these files?

Per support -- it's safe to clean out these folders.

Support also pointed me to the online documentation -- there's a section "Enabling the repository log" for turning on / off this logging.
