Issue when creating Data Model

Why is it that when I create a Data Model the Data Model object also appears under Package. When trying to properties of the object placed under Package i get a Macro execution failed. What is purpose having the Data model visualized under Package?

It might be that we in our installation have some license issue, but it seems strange that i'm not able to create Data Model diagrams? Is Data models going to be deprecated or is Data Models already deprecated?

I ask, because we mainly use data models in our organisation.

Thanks for the clarification.

Hello,

Data Models are Packages with "Data Model" stereotype... That's why you see them in the Package Tree.

If you do not want to see them in the Package tree, you''ll have to modify the standard metamodel to have only packages not stereotyped "Data Model" in the Package tree. This is not an easy customization though...
