Hi,
We are trying to better understand two concepts from HOPEX ITA module:
- System Triggering Event
- System Triggered Event
Here is a screenshot of these objects in a Scenario of Application Flows diagram
These concepts are NOT defined in the V5 Concepts documentation section.
However, V5 documentation DOES define Application Input Gate and Application Output Gate concepts.
These definitions are consistent with HOPEX V3 training materials.
But - as you can see in above screenshot - in HOPEX V5, scenario of Application Flows diagram use different modeling concepts.
Our understanding is that we can simply map the concepts like this
- System Triggering Event is equivalent to Application Input Gate
- System Triggered Event is equivalent to Application Output Gate
as described in picture below.
Is this correct interpretation?

Hi,
It seems documentation has not been updated. We have renamed "Input/Output Gate" into "Triggering/Triggered Event".
We will fix documentation.
