Restore customization when installing new system

Hello everyone,

May I ask you which Windows folders do I need to copy&paste to keep all customizations when installing a new system. I believe it is the java folder and maybe a few others. Could you please specify?

Thanks, Hendrik

Hello Hendrik

External customized files are mostly

1) .Jar files

They should be stored in the subfolder '\java\lib_usr' of the HOPEX installation

Ex: C:\Program Files (x86)\MEGA\MEGA HOPEX V1R2\java\lib_usr

2) Resource files (.dot, images files, .mgs files...)

They should be stored in the subfolder '\Mega_usr' the HOPEX installation or of the MEGA environment

Ex: C:\_StandardData\Demonstration\Mega_Usr

Note also that

a) Most customizations are elements on the systemdb and are not visible as external files

b) Customized configuration files like megasite.ini (subfolder '\CFG' of the HOPEX installation) or 'web.config' (subfolder of IIS application for HOPEX or Advisor) should be merged manually with the equivalent files of the new installation
