Organizing Application

We have around 500 Application in MEGA. I have following issues/concern/questions/thought:

1. It takes a while to browse those list when clicking on + sign of Application because list is long.

2. Is there a way to organize those in sub-folders inside Application? In what way each application are affected if those are pushed into sub-folder.

3. Is there a document which explains, how the applilcation folders are organized or how to organize it for a large number of applications.

In most cases you would use Library, since objects in Libraries are name spaced according to the Library, eg. Library1::Application1, Library2::Application1, meaning that you can have Applications with the same name as long as they are placed in different Libraries. This is not possible using a folder in the Main Navigation tree.

Try and consult the MEGA Common Features document: http://community.mega.com/mega/attachments/mega/HOPEXV1R2/11/64/MEGA%20Common%20Features%20EN.pdf

Is there a guidande on, if folder or library option is better for our scenario? what are the differences from an end user perspective?

If possible could you please point me to some document/guideline.

Hi,

You can organize your applications into sub-folders in the Main Naviagation window. Just right-click on the Application  folder and create a sub-folde and drag your applications to the new folder.

Most users however would organize their applications using Libraries. We have clients that manages more than 3500 applications that way.
