For your information the date format is also configured on a text related to the language. This mean that you can also change it without changing Windows setting. My remarks stay the same as it will apply for the whole application not limited to query. The benefit is that it will be applied only to this language. It can have some use if some of your users have DD/MM/YYYY (for French) and some MM/DD/YYYY (for english).
The procedure to change it can vary with the version of HOPEX. But below is some explaination :
With a user allowed to update MEGA data
- Open a private workspace with the profile/role 'Mega Customizer'
Configure option 'Access to metamodel' to 'Expert'
Configure languages options to display the expected language
Select the expected language using the query tool
In the query result windows, select the expect language (ex: English)
R click >Properties
In the tab 'Characteristics', identify the text '_LanguageCharacteristics'
Manually add the following lines following the syntax below
Exit and dispatch private workspace

separator is a string used to separate date from time (space char., dash char.), ex separator= -
am is a string indicating that the hour is before midday, ex: am=am
