Enterprise Architect / Import of XMI / XML

Hello everybody,

I would like to import data from Sparks Enterprise Architect to MEGA (2009 or Hopex), mostly classes and attributes. This is a one shot operation and diagrams shall be rebuild manually afterwards.

EA generats XML and XMI files but I know that there is no standard interface between the tools to import those files easily into an MEGA repository.

By any chance, did anybody find an easy way to do  so nevertheless ?

I thought I already had checked all the options, but you are right ! I finally found the option :

Compatibilité > Autres

Now I just have to find the right export option for the XMI file in EA but that is just a matter of time.  🙂

Yes. I have importen from EA in the past. You might have to activate Xmi in the options dialog to see it

Are you sure ? That's what I thought initially. I managed to import a XMI file with HOPEX V2, but I don't see any possibility to to so in MEGA 2009...

Hi,

You should be able to import via XMI. You just need to have the right version of XMI in EA.

I just managed to import my data using the new XMI import feature of HOPEX V2. 

But I am still interessted if anybody has found a solution to do so using MEGA 2009
