I've learne to take the time to read carrefuly this  documents before migration :

From our experience as client:

we have done the migration (from CP10 to CP12) with MEGA's consultant and we had only one issue on Single Sign On web page that was erased by the update package. The Web page was restore and everything works fine

In Architecture module we use the MESSAGE object, we notice it doesn't appear on diagrams, you need to turn on for all users this option, but this is not an issue.

There is nothing specific regarding this CP update. Follow the standard procedure with the usual precautions.

Is there a mistake during installation and after?Is there a point to pay attention?
