Hi,
Does someone know a documentation to migrate GBMS database to SQL SERVER with MEGA 2009 SP5 R7.
I found the doc "RDBMS Repository Installation for HOPEX" but for the moment we are not ready to install HOPEX. It we be a second step
So we only want to change the storage of the database
We already have the new license.
Any Tips ? Any problems encountered ?
Thanks a lot
Sandrine

Hello Sandrine,
I confirm Philippe's reply : the database requirements and procedure are the same for MEGA 2009 SP5 as for MEGA HOPEX for now. Once you've configured the correct encoding, database user rights, you begin the reorganisation with the system database, then follow with the repositories. This operation takes a long time so don't be surprised. MEGA constructs the necessary database structure then fills the data. Be sure to pay attention for each database (including the systemDb) if you keep the object history or not then if you activate internal and/or external history in the target. Not all repositories require logging all evolutions inside the repository (database will quickly expand in size) or logging all evolutions outside of the repository via MGL files (disk space will quickly grow).
kind regards,

Hi Sandrine,
With MEGA 2009 SP5, the documentation "Repository - RDBMS Installation Guide MEGA 2009 SP5.pdf" is provided in the Articles directory.
The procedure seems to be the same as Hopex, ie a repository reorganization for each one (Sysdb and others) with oracle as target Support Storage.
