Integrate external API in wizard

Hello,

I would like to extend the create person wizard to allow users to search persons using an external API.

It would work like this :

1. The user enters a user id and clicks search

2. we query the enterprise directory using a Javascript API

3. we populate the standard name and e-mail fields 

Is it possible to do such customization ?

You could use windows single sign-on, it usually adds the username and login automatically, and latter you can add email etc.
