How to Split Database and Application Server

Dear All,

We have MEGA Hopex Application Server and Database Server installed on 1 (one) server, and now We need to split Database Server and Application Server, Please share to us the guidance for this, thanks

This is not very difficult

You need to transfer SQL data from the local database server to the other database server

The main steps are the following

Initial server

• Stop  SSP
• perform SQL backup

New database server

• Restore SQL backups

Initial server

• Create a network share for the new environment folder with appropriate permissions
• Create a MEGA environment in 'restore' mode
• Transfer additional folders (Mega_usr, Data...)
• Merge files such as Megaenv.ini and systemdb.emv
• Create a reference for the new environment
• Restart SSP
