Environment and repository upgrade procedure from MEGA SP4 to MEGA SP5

Hi,

Currently I'm doing the upgrade from mega sp4 to mega hopex v1r2, actually I installed mega sp5 cp11 in another server because first it is necessary to perform an intermediate upgrade between sp4 et hopex, I don’t understand how can I do the Environment and repository upgrade procedure (GBMS Storage), because I have the Environment and repository in another server so I think that I need to create a new environment(in the new server) and after copy and paste all the documents of last environment. I am not sure if can I do it, can you give me some information and advice about it?, because when I did it never I had the question about “Your environment requires an update for compatibility with your version of MEGA. Do you wish to run this procedure now?”

If you are using a GBMS environment, you can just copy the entire Environment folder to the new server where you have SP5 installed and in the Administrator make a reference to the Environment, instead of creating a new.

That way you are upgrading a copy of your SP4 version.
