Disable Create Diagram and View Diagram Buttons

Hello,

How can the Create Diagram and View Diagram buttons be disabled for a particular profile?

Hi,

First thing to check is the Profile 'command line' defining the access mode /RO, / HV, HC or /RW and requested licenses ; for instance for 'Application Owner' in HOPEX V4 it is /HC'APM;BDNA;CAST;IDEA;HITA;ADES;GDPR' so calling ITPM, IT Architecture, etc. in contributor mode

e.g. using the viewer mode using /HV instead of /HC (contributor) will prevent creation of new objects

If this is not enough, custom profiles / set of UI rights can be defined using the permission management tool (see HOPEX Studio documentation for more details)

here for instance the 'diagram' metaclass CRUD could be set to null instead of 'R', which would prevent both viewing and creating diagrams

In HOPEX administrator under Permissions menu, you select the Object UI Access. From here you can manage all the CRUD settings per profile and meta class.

How can I identify the UI Rights for creating and reading diagrams?

You can try and use the UI rights to restrict that a profile cannot create or read diagrams. The CRUD would be set to -
