We are consistantly facing slowness in the tool. each and every operation like link creation/deletion, objects creation/deletion, tool intital loading, and diagrams opening some other frequent actions are very slow.
We found that the existance of lot of history is one of the causes of tool slow ness. The fact is, history is one of the very useful information for modelers to keep track of changes like who used the object, when the changes are done like that.
Keeping all these things in mind, we are thinking of separating history regularly (weekly or monthly) from the tool and putting in separate storage and to use a basic reporting tool to view the history.
Can any one tell what is the impact of removing history from the tool. Does the tools like compare and Allign will impact with this?
