All,
I am trying to create a Stacked Bars diagram but don't know how.
I also don't see "Stacked Bars" documented anwhere.
For example, I am trying to create Applications by Portfolio - stacked by Obsolescence Risk.
I have enabled the option "Display Stacked Bars" - but it doesn't "stack" the Obsolesce Risk.
What am I missing?

Thank you @OLeGuellec @PBessodes @AlanB !
I was able to follow the step-by-step instructions provided by @PBessodes and create a stacked-bar from my dataset.
I think there is definitely room to improve how this feature works - so users can create much easier. But, I'm happy that now I know how to do it.
Thanks again.

Hi,
to build a stacked bar chart you need an underlying matrix data structure (you want to count items in cells against two categories)
for instance, you can do the following :
by default, you have a bar chart, albeit not stacked :
then you need to apply a stacked bar style; to test this :
note : for a production proof report template, you probably need to manage the styling in a more robust way 🙂

Hi,
There is a way (thanks to our internal team experts...). Here are the steps on an example where I want to "stack" states of application of a portfolio (to adapt to your own case).
First: create a report dataset with required data. In our example a report dataset that contains portfolio name, application name and application current state
Then create an instant report selecting the matrix (barchart, radarchart) renderer and set parameters as:
You should obtain:
And selecting the Bar Chart view:
To "stack the bar" you need to edit the report
Select "Edit Style..." button for the series
Select "All Series"
And select "Display Stacked Bars"

I've managed it!
I was flicking through reports, looking for inspiration for a demo, and thought, "I wonder if those bars will stack?" and they do.
The report I was looking at was the Project Capability Deliverable Matrix (specifically, "Customer Satisfaction - Project Capability Deliverable Matrix" in the presales content, if you have that in an environment. I can't remember if you do) and instead of the "Matrix" view, I chose "Bar Chart". What it now shows me is the number of fulfilling building blocks per Business Capability (x-axis) that will be impacted by a Project (y-axis). If a Project impacts two or more Business Capabilities, the separate bars are stacked instead of sitting beside each other. I've attached a screen capture of the example below.
I'm not sure if this works for more than "counts against matrices", but there's at least one instance where it works.
I hope that's some help,
Alan

Is anyone able to use Stacked bars in HOPEX? I just can't figure it out.
