Data migration from Mega2009 to Hopex in Oracle11 or Oracle12

Hi,

We are investigating a possible upgrade from Mega2009 to Hopex.
At the same time we want to upgrade our current Oracle11g DB to Oracle12.

Our oracle-Db resides on a Linux-server.

I was wondering which scenario is the most reliable or fastest :

Scenario 1 : Migrate/convert environment and repositories in Oracle11; and then convert db to oracle12
Scenario 2 : First migrate the Db to oracle 12, and then convert the Mega-data to Hopex.

Hello dvanhoegaerden

Oracle 12 is officially supported with HOPEX V1R2.

I would therefore recommend that you upgrade to HOPEX V1R2 in Oracle 11, then that you switch to Oracle 12.
