  1. IT Portfolio Management

      • Application Exchange Graph

    The Application Exchange Graph is a new instant report that shows a graph of exchanges between selected applications.

    It helps application portfolio managers assess all the ties of an application and assess how difficult an application can be removed from the application portfolio.1.1.1. Application Exchange Graph ITPM U3.PNG

      • Updated Environment Reports

    The Application Environment report now uses the new dynamic graph rendering for advanced impact analysis.1.1.2. Application environnement report (EN) - ITPM U3.PNG

     

    It replaces existing environment reports, including functional, data flows and deployments environment reports.

      • Improved Business Capability Maps

    You can now create nested business capability maps (“box-in-box”) without creating the corresponding diagram in the background. This improves usability and helps reduce time to create capability maps.

    The report is broken down by capability and sub-capabilities, as well as applications supporting capabilities in a nested layout.

      • Enhanced Technopedia Import

    The search into the Technopedia catalog has been improved for a better user experience.

    By selecting an existing technology in HOPEX, the system suggests Technopedia components that best match the selected HOPEX technology component

    Once the mapping has been done between ITPM and Technopedia, a Technopedia ID is included in the Technology information so that Technology lifecycle data is automatically updated.

      • Miscellaneous Improvements

        • 1. Application Exchange

    The creation of application exchange is now using autocompletion to facilitate the search of applications.

      • 2.Application - Functionality Relationship

    The relationship between application and functionality is now compliant with the realization concept through a specific option in the solution (i.e. “a functionality is realized by an application”).

    A migration tool is provided to convert the old relation to the realization relationship.

     

     

  2. HOPEX IT Architecture & Information Architecture: Enterprise Working Environment

    HOPEX IT Architecture & Information Architecture now have a working environment for the “Enterprise” concept. This entry point is optional.

    By selecting this option, the inventory of objects is specific to an “Enterprise”, and objects are filtered for a given “Enterprise” working environment (It can exist multiple “Enterprises” within HOPEX)

    When a user adds an object to the “Enterprise”, the system will automatically inform them whether another object already exists with the same name.

     

     

  3. HOPEX ArchiMate

      • HOPEX ArchiMate Import

     

    The Open Group ArchiMate Exchange Format can now be imported in HOPEX ArchiMate.

    This new feature allows you to easily import ArchiMate data from other ArchiMate tools into HOPEX.

      • Property Management

     

    Property management in HOPEX ArchiMate has been improved so that you can add a property item to any ArchiMate concept. This provides additional information to objects used in ArchiMate diagrams.

    • New ArchiMate Reports

       

      New sample Report Data Set Definitions / Report templates, similar to TOGAF, are now available. These new reports help you identify gaps and improve decision-making.

  4. HOPEX GDPR

      • Enriched DPIA

     

    As part of their DPIAs, Activity Owners can now assess their processing activities in terms of the risks they represent to data protection. This allows for future analysis of the organization’s ability to mitigate data protection risks.

    There are 5 different types of risk:

    1. Illegitimate Access
    2. Data Loss
    3. Data Integrity
    4. Data Unavailability
    5. Unlawful Processing

    Processing Activity Owners can create Risks against the 5 types of Data Protection risk and assess each of these Risks.

      • New Data Protection Roles

     

    DPOs can now choose what responsibility Legal Entity holds with regards to the processing activity (from Data Controller, Joint Controller and Data Processor).

      • Data Subject Request Management

    Data Subject Requests can now be captured manually (To be captured via web form in Update 4).

    DPOs can then decide the processing activities or parts of the organizations affected and assign the most relevant member of his/her GDPR Team to respond to the request.

    This allows DPOS and GDPR team members to not only centralize data subject requests but to also ensure they are responded to within the required lead times.

      • Enhanced Reporting

    GDPR Team, DPO and Chief Privacy Officer can now build customized reports using our Report Template as a basis.

      • Enhanced Record of Processing and DPIA Documents

    Record of processing & DPIA word documents are enriched with more pre-loaded content based on the GDPR regulation.

      • Dashboards

    Reports are now available by default on the dashboard page to all users.

    You can replace these reports with any other report you deem more relevant to your needs.

    These 3 default reports allow you to monitor overall progress of Processing Activities towards Compliance and can be parameterized to respond to your reporting needs. Note that you can only add Processing Activities that are within your scope of responsibility.

      • Data Breach Management

    DPO, Deputy DPO and GDPR Team are now able to:

        • Assess consequences of a breach and the effectiveness of its remediation actions
        • Clearly define remediation actions with deadline, department responsible and status.
        • Specify the type of notification required.
        • Count the hours elapsed since breach was discovered

    All the above helps manage Data Breaches in accordance with Art. 33 & 34.

    1. Bi-directional support between the systems

      HOPEX contains business process hierarchies, descriptions and diagrams

1.Reporting Enhancements

 

  • New Graph Report Rendering

This new data representation allows a better understanding of the data structure, as well as a better understanding of the relationships that bind data together.

New features include:

      - Searched objects are directly highlighted in the graph
      - Double click on an object to focus on it. This will show nearby objects only.
      - Single click on an object to view the property page
      - Zoom, change space between objects, change length of the labels
      - Oriented or nonoriented links between objects

    • Bubble Chart Improvements

The new bubble chart report improves readability and usability, especially in populated reports.

Enhancements include:

      - Addition of a thin line from the bubble to the label
      - Improved label placement to avoid overlapping
      - Roll over on a bubble to highlight it, so users can easily select an overlapping bubble
      - The drill down pane can be launched directly by clicking on the label (previously users had to click on the bubble)
      - Background picture now available

    • Dataset improvement

Report Dataset Performance – Reuse of Query Results: To improve performance, you can now store the result of a query and reuse it in other queries to build datasets.

    • Data Filter Symbol

Data Filtering: A filter symbol now shows values that have been filtered in reports.

    • Improved embedded reports presentation in property pages

Users can now group reports by report folder based on user profile to improve user experience, e.g. IT Architecture reports are available in a sub-menu while ITPM reports are available in the main body of the menu.

    • Reports Miscellaneous Improvements

  • Instant report based on a single object

You can now tie reports directly to a single object and make these reports available in the object menu and in instant reports. These reports will be opened in the view container.

  • Generic Report Template Customization

It is now possible to reuse the code of an existing report template to build a new report with different parameter types (sub type of the original parameter type) and values, e.g. an environment Report (Dendrogram) available for “Model Building Block» can be reused for applications and capabilities.

 

 

2. UI/UX Evolutions

 

  • Profile Switcher

Users can now switch from one profile to another without logging in/logging out.

You can switch to another profile, with appropriate permissions, from a dropdown menu in the main toolbar.

Dispatch Notification when logging out: If you made changes before logout, the dispatch popup will no longer be shown if no changes have been performed by the user. The notification will only pop up if you did some changes before logout.

 

  • Review Notes

  •  Review Note Indicators on Diagrams

An indicator now shows that diagram objects have review notes.

    • Mono/Multi view set to profile type

Mono and multi views are now set by profile type.

For HOPEX profiles that don’t primarily use diagrams like HOPEX IT Portfolio Management users, GRC & GDPR users, the diagram view is set to mono view by default i.e., only one diagram of an object can be viewed at a time.

For profiles like Process designer or Enterprise Architect, the view is set to Multiview by default i.e., diagrams of different objects can be opened in multiple tabs.

    • Switch Between View and Edit Mode in Diagrams

A user in edit mode can now go back to view mode by using the back button, facilitating navigation in the interface. 2.2.4. Switch Between View and Edit Mode in Diagrams.png

 

 

    • Search Improvements

The five recent searches are now stored in the full search box.

By typing the beginning of an old keyword, the keyword will show up in the recent searches.

You can now reduce or extend the scope of target object type in the search tool based on these three options:

      - View the usual object types:

This option enables you to display only the main objects type (for example Application, Portfolio, Risk, Business Capability, Functionality, Organizational Process, Class, Content) and the object type that plays a containing role (for Enterprise, library, package, subject area, project domain…)

      - View the usual object types and essential characteristics (default)

This option enables you to display all the main object types, containers, and object types as (Operation, Attribute, column…). This option is checked by default to ensure the compliance of the current mode.

      - View all object types:

This option enables you to display all object type as target of the search by including object type of the contextualization for example: application component, participant, flows….

    • Dashboard Improvements

A set of default reports by profile is now available in the dashboard page.

Adding a new report in the dashboard is easier through a new “Add report” widget.

The scrollbars have been removed for all the reports in the dashboard and the reports are now seen in three columns.

    • Homepage Improvements

The home page will be shown with tiles when signing back into the application. By clicking on the application logo, the user will be redirected to the home page.

 

    • Floating Toolbar Enhancement

 Floating toolbars on lists and tree lists are now homogenous with the interface.

    • Highlight the menu item

The menu item is now highlighted to let you know where they are in the application.

 

    • Reset Column Settings

You can go back to default settings if the order and the configuration of the columns has been changed.

 

    • Diagram and Dive Icons

Diagram icons are updated with standard diagram icons to be in coherence with other icons in the interface.
