We are using ServiceNow.
We want instant integration via Servicenow for HOPEXV2R1. All hardware&software inventory on servicenow is up to date, Master data will be servicenow and will constantly update some attribute(Asset,CI,application etc) on hopex.
for example; When new hardware or software is added on ServiceNow, we want to update directly on hopex.
What is the method for this? What is the best practice for servicenow&HOPEXV2R1 integration?
The HOPEX CMDB module addresses a need to align a CI perimeter from a CMDB to HOPEX. This is applicable to ServiceNow but does not allow an alignment on the fly.
To meet such a demand, a number of specific components must be put in place for both ServiceNow and HOPEX.
ServiceNow specific component must be able to detect updates to replicate under HOPEX and transfer them via a webservice (for example).
On the other side, HOPEX must provide a webservice to manage the incoming updates.
Thanks for your assistance.
Our main goal is; We need to work a best practice example. Mega will only receive data.
ServiceNow will give data for hopex. We can do it with the web service.
Thanks for your support.
We are also considering the same integration pattern for our ServiceNow
What Hopex Web Services are available to facility that?
Can you provide a link to the Web Services documentation?
What is the URL for accessing such a Web Service?
What does Hopex use for authenticating access to that Web Service?
But it is not appropriate to our current need.
That the reason why HOPEX V2R1 provide a Web Services Factory from which you can create our own Web Services, build in C# ; Ms Visual Studio. As I didn't find a public documentation on the community I just opened a case (we'll keep you informed).
Web Services use the UAS authentification method with a token in the http request.
The links you provided return an error message
However, I found this link to work:
Seems to be difficult to share like on the online documentation. Same issue with yours :-)
