Bonjour,

J'ai comme objectif la migration de l'application MEGA 2009 de la SP3 vers la SP5;

avant de me lancer dans cette tache, j'aimerais prendre le maximum d'informations sur le processus de migration;

pour palier à toutes éventualités ou surprises.

merci d'avance pour vos conseils

Type of deployement is LAN

migration is on the same machine? in my case I have two machines Machines 2003 server and 2012 server New*

I know I have to first go through an intermediate migration, I wonder if it is possible and how to MEGA 2009 SP3 on a 2003 R2 server to MEGA SP5 on a server 2012 R2 ...

Hello Drakun

This is a project

There are several elements to consider

  1. Choose a type of deployment for HOPEX programs:
    WAN deployment is not recommended any longer. see this KB
  2. Install HOPEX programs on the server Windows 2012
    See this document
  3. Install HOPEX licence according to the deployment chosen
  4. Migrate data
    To migrate data, you need to upgrade first to MEGA 2009 SP5 CP9.0 or higher CP as explained above

Hello

Please use the English language in forums

Here are general remarks

1) MEGA 2009 is at the end of its life.

It means that quite soon, you will have to upgrade to HOPEX V1R2 to be a fully maintained version. See our support policy

2) MEGA 2009 SP5 CP9 or higher CP is a pre-requisite to upgrade to HOPEX V1R2.

See this document. As a consequence, do not upgrade to a lower CP.

Choose CP11 or CP10 on MEGA 2009 SP5.

Note that a usefull hotfix 11.07 exists for MEGA 2009 SP5 CP11, see KB 00005121

3) There is a generic procedure documenting data upgrade from MEGA 2009 SP3 to MEGA 2009 SP5

See this document

4) There is a generic procedure documenting programs upgrade from MEGA 2009 SPX to MEGA 2009 SP5

See this document
