external reference overriding Name with URL

Hi Community,

When creating an external reference for a online document, in the first step we give the name of document, and in second step we fill the url of the document. But the name of doc is erased when filling in the url .
Is this standard in mega? Can we disable this fucntionality?

Thanks for your help.

In my tests, once the external reference is created, it possible to edit the field 'URL'. This will not update the field 'Name'

So I suggest you use it differently at creation

Set the field 'URL' first -> the field 'Name'  will be set automatically with the last part of the url

Set field 'Name' you want another value

Confirm creation

Hi Jerome,

We are actually using Windows Frontend V1R2 CP10.

When we create an external refence with type URL, in the second prompt window, we give the document name, and then select the predefined address, finally we enter the URL.

While we are typing the URL, it is erasing the name of document and overwriting the url what ever we type in URL textbox.

Can this be disabled, we want the name should not be overwritten. See below  picture:

Thanks for your support.

Hello Colruyt Team

The description is not cristal clear

I suggest you open a case so that we can perform further investigations.

Note

1) With Web Front-End, only external reference of type 'Url' are supported

External reference of type 'File' are NOT supported.

2) For an external reference object

Property ~AxnIPj4V)800[Complete path] is computed from local Access path and Access path of Predefined address

Ex:

Access path of Predefined address = http://community.mega.com

Access path = /t5/custom/page/page-id/mega-kb

Complete path = http://community.mega.com/t5/custom/page/page-id/mega-kb
