This error message means that there is a communication issue with the SSP. There could be many different causes of this issue. We would recommend following our installation documentation for your version of Hopex to verify that all of the required permissions are in place. Once the permissions are in place take down all processes related to Hopex, stop IIS and SSP. Then restart IIS followed by SSP. Verify that all application pools in IIS Manager are started. Then attempt to log in again. If you still encounter this issue we would recommend that you open a case with Technical Support and provide them with all your error log files from a day the issue occurred.
